Police Have Arrested a Teen Boy Accused of Killing His 10-year-old Stepsister

14-year-old Jameion Peterson has been charged as an adult in the homicide of his 10-year-old stepsister.

A motive for the killing and Na'Mylah's cause of death have not been made public. Assistant Prosecutor Stevenson said that no weapons were used in Na’Mylah’s death, and no signs of sexual assault were found.

The Mysterious 'Long Island Serial Killer'

In 2010, Shannan Gilbert, a 24-year-old sex worker, went to a client’s house in Oak Beach, Long Island. She called 911 while leaving the house, repeating, “There is somebody after me.” She wanted the officers to locate her address; by the time they called her back, she had already disappeared. Her investigation led to the discovery of four other bodies on Gilgo Beach.

‘Duck Sauce’ killer Glenn Hirsch’s hoarder NYC apartment

On April 30, Yan was making a delivery on his scooter when Glenn Hirsch allegedly shot him in the chest over a duck sauce. According to the restaurant owner, Glenn frequently harassed his workers at the eatery with a gun and had disturbing encounters. Repeated calls to the police over the angry customer did not stop anything. Recently released photos of the apartment show that Hirsch’s apartment was filled to the ceiling with cardboard boxes, black trash bags, old newspapers, CDs, and plastic containers of old documents.

The murder of Jose Torres and the rise of the Chicano Squad

On May 5, 1977, Mexican-American and Vietnam War veteran Jose Campos Torres, 23, was arrested for disorderly conduct. The police took Torres to “the hole,” an area behind a warehouse near Buffalo Bayou, instead of taking him to the city jail. Torres' body was found a few days later, prompting the Houston Police Department to form an all-Latino homicide unit, the Chicano Squad.
