Pastor Claims He Stopped Armed Robbery During Church Service by Praying for Suspects
On Feb. 12, 2023, Marquaello Futrell, a former police officer who has devoted his life to God as a pastor, claims to have stopped a group of alleged robbers during a church service by praying for the suspects.
Yahoo!Life claims that Futrell was preaching when he noticed something seemed off with four young men he had never seen in his church before. Opting to remain calm, Futrell asked his church director to notify police, making the decision to move in on the teens while still continuing to preach.
After Futrell made his way over to the group, he interrogated them, asking them “who sent y’all here? Just saw the church and decided to come? Talk to me.” Daily Mail claims that Futrell didn’t stop there, instead he continued to preach to the teens, at one point even telling them that they were on ‘Holy Ghost turf’ and that ‘God’s changing the plot.’
Futrell claims that he had the attendants of the church join in on the prayer and that after 20 minutes of being there, the teens finally left the church, however police are still searching for them.
