Jolissa Fuentes’s Disappearance Is Now Being Treated as a Crime by Police
22-year-old Jolissa Fuentes was last seen on August 7th in Selma, California at a gas station. Three weeks into the search for both Fuentes and her car, Fuentes’s family now suspects her disappearance is a criminal matter.
While she was last seen driving a silver four-door 2011 Hyundai Accent, police and volunteers have been unable to locate the car or Fuentes after three weeks. The Selma Police Department confirmed a possible criminal motive behind the disappearance at this point, according to People. Search parties were unable to locate the car in either Avocado Lake or Pine Flat Dam, the area where Fuentes’s phone last pinged. Because police have been unable to track Fuente’s cell phone and there is no digital footprint, police now plan to treat the case as a criminal act, according to New York Post.
While the Selma Police Department moves forward with the case, Jolissa Fuentes’s family continues searching for her as well.
