Actor Gary Busey Arrested and Charged with Sexual Offenses
Police in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, have arrested and charged actor Gary Busey with multiple sexual offenses after he allegedly groped two victims during the Monster Mania Convention.
Busey, 78, was a featured guest for all three days of the Monster Mania Convention, taking place from August 12-14. According to Police Lt. Robert Scheunemann, “multiple complaints” were made about Busey, saying specifically “It was about contact, it was about touching.”
Busey was quickly removed from the premises after police responded to the scene.
On Friday, police charged Busey with two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, one count of attempted sexual criminal contact, and one charge for harassment. Police made the announcement of the arrest Saturday.
Busey is best known for his role in the 1978 film The Buddy Holly Story, which he was nominated for an Academy Award for best actor.
