Remains Found in Woods Confirmed to be Missing Teacher Meghan A. Marohn

Marohn (42) was a high school English teacher from Delmar, New York, who was last seen on March 27. Authorities and Marohn’s friends and family launched numerous searches for her. She was described as charismatic, witty, and a loving person.” in a GoFundMe set up by her brother.

Four months after she was last seen, Marohn’s friend Chris Hedges wrote on Sheerpost that Marohn had told her she’d gone into hiding to get away from a man she believed to be stalking her in The Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, Massachusetts. 

Her car was found at a trailhead about two miles from the inn. The car was unlocked. 

Remains found in the woods of the Berkshires in Massachusetts belong to Meghan A Marogn, Berkshire District Attorney confirmed. Roughly five miles away from where Marohn’s car was discovered. Police have never released how she died. They are continuing to investigate.
