Missing Mom Deborrah Collier Found Dead After Sending a Chilling Message to Her Daughter

"They are not going to let me go, love you," the message from her mother was sent to Amanda Bearden’s Venmo account on Sept. 10, along with $2,400 by her mother, Deborrah Collier. "There is a key to the house in the blue flower pot by the door."

Amanda Bearden called her mother immediately, but the phone was never picked up. Amanda Bearden and Collier’s husband filed a missing person’s report on September 10.

Collier’s husband told police he last saw his wife around 9 p.m. on September 9 as he was going to bed. When he left for work Saturday morning, he said her vehicle was still in the driveway, but she had taken her debit card. It was not usual for her.

Deborrah Collier’s body was found less than 24 hours later in Habersham County, North Georgia. Sheriff’s Office reported that Collier’s body appeared to be burned, with ‘charring to her abdomen.’

The recent investigation confirmed that Collier’s death was a homicide, which may have been the result of a kidnapping.
