Fatal Shooting After Prom in Baltimore, MD
The family and friends of Baltimore 17-year-old Jasmine ‘Jay’ Bronson mourn the teenager’s murder, which occurred in the early morning of May 13th after his prom night, but FOX News reports no suspects or motives in the shooting have yet been identified. A reward of $16,000 has been offered for information that can uncover any perpetrators of this attack; WBAL-TV states that tips can be sent to the Baltimore Police Department at 410-396-2100 or the volunteer group Metro Crime Stoppers at 866-7LOCKUP. According to FOX News, at around 12:30 AM, Bronson was shot in an Airbnb on East Lafayette Avenue during his prom after-party. WBAL-TV states that police were not called until 3:37 AM, and adds that Bronson died in the hospital.
Bronson’s case makes one of the latest in Baltimore’s 125+ recorded murders in 2022 so far, FOX News reports. FOX marks this as a 9% increase from 2021, in addition to the city’s 9% increase in gun-related crimes and 9% rise in total crime over an equal period of time.
