New Podcast Episode: The February 9th Killer

For years in Salt Lake County, February 9th was a date fraught with nervous anticipation. After the slaying of 6-months-pregnant Sonia Mejia in 2006 and Damiana Castillo in 2008, a dedicated police task force patrolled the area in hopes of preventing a repeat killing in the years that followed. Today, concerned Utahns eagerly await the trial that could bring about a conviction 17 years in the making.

Their mother, Nicole Wagon became an unexpected activist and advocate for MMIWG2S after losing her daughters. Nicole found out first hand how frustrating it can be to deal with authorities during the investigation of the disappearance or unsolved murder of an indigenous woman as she fought for answers and justice for Jocelyn and Jade.

New Podcast Episode: The Murder of Georgia Leah "Lee" Moses

Georgia Leah Moses disappeared from Santa Rosa California on August 13th 1997. Nine days later, the 12-year-old girl's dead body was found alongside Highway 101 near the Petaluma Boulevard onramp. Georgia's short life was marked by failures of the system, which sadly continued to fail her in death. The investigation was distracted by a series of errors -- from the handling of her missing person report to the identification of her body. Even Georgia's name was printed incorrectly by the media, creating further barriers to justice.

New Podcast Episode: The Cleveland Strangler

Anthony Sowell, known as the Cleveland Strangler targeted women addicted to crack, incorrectly assuming that none of his victims would be missed. Sowell sexually assaulted countless women, and murdered eleven, whose decomposing bodies were found hidden around his family home in Mount Pleasant. Cleveland Police did little to investigate any of the disappearances, but the testimony of brave survivors and dedication of devastated family members brought the Strangler down.
