Northwest Baltimore Shooting Injures 6, Kills 1
Around 12:24PM on Wednesday, a 2016 Silver Lexus Sedan is believed to have driven up to the intersection of Park Heights and Shirley avenues before two or more of its occupants opened fire. Apparently firing “indiscriminately,” the shooters killed one 24-year-old man and injured six other men, four of whom are confirmed to be in critical condition. The ages of the critical victims are 25, 38, 63 and 43, while CBS Baltimore states a 70-year-old man is confirmed stable and a 55-year-old man’s condition is unknown.
No motive for the attack is currently known, according to WBAL-TV. At least 25 shell casings were left at the scene in the courtyard.
At the scene, Baltimore Police Commissioner Harrison decried the “brazen” and “cowardly” crime and called any witnesses to come forward. According to WBAL-TV, Harrison had just arrived from giving a speech on “a new initiative to crack down on crime.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Baltimore Police at 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 866-7LOCKUP.
