Canadian Woman Found Dead on Dream Birthday Vacation at Mexican Hotel with Boyfriend

Kiara Agnew, a twenty-three year old woman from Dawson Creek, British Columbia, was found dead March 3, 2023, at a hotel in the coastal resort city of Playa Del Carmen.

People reports that Agnew was on a dream birthday vacation with her boyfriend that “turned into a nightmare,” the family’s GoFundMe campaign reads.

A Canadian man, who is believed to be Agnew’s boyfriend, is being held in connection with the death of Agnew, according to CBC. As of now, a cause of death or motive remains unclear, though the investigation is ongoing.
