39-year-old Al Demond McNeil from Portsmouth turned himself in to Portsmouth police yesterday. He is being held in the Portsmouth Sheriff's Office, according to The Associated Press, for his fatal shooting of a 2-year-old boy on August 10th. The child, whom officers found at home when they responded to a reported gunshot, survived in the hospital until Saturday.
