Tennessee Man Arrested in Kentucky After Charged With Killing Girlfriend

Bradley Miller of Johnson City, Tennessee was arrested this Monday after investigators were granted a warrant with suspicion related to the death of his girlfriend, Athena Saunders.

Saunders’ body was found on a gravel road near the Unaka Mountain Beauty Spot on May 30th. Since then, special agents apart of Tennessee Bureau of Investigation having been working with Unicoi County Sheriff’s Office detectives to solve the murder of the Johnson City woman. 

For two days, Miller was on the loose, hiding from law enforcement after the warrant was obtained this past Saturday. He was quickly caught in Ashland, Kentucky early Monday morning by police and was charged with first degree murder of Athena Saunders. He was also convicted on a count of abuse of a corpse and a count of tampering with evidence. 

Kentucky state police and the Johnson City police department also assisted in the arrest of Miller and the investigation of this case.
