Robert Durst, convicted murderer and the subject of the HBO docuseries “The Jinx,” died in a prison hospital facility in Stockton, CA on Monday, the New York Times confirms. He was 78.
In October 2021, Durst was sentenced to life in prison for the 2000 murder of his friend Susan Berman. Just days after receiving his sentence, the New York State Police filed a criminal complaint against Durst, accusing him of murdering his wife, Kathie Durst, after she disappeared under suspicious circumstances in 1982.
