Police Search for New York Woman Who Attempted to Kidnap Child
New York police are currently searching for a woman who attempted kidnapping in public on Monday. The victim, a five-year-old boy, was with his parents on the street when the woman attempted to kidnap him. Police are still searching for the woman in question.
On Monday evening, the boy was standing with his parents on a street corner when an unknown woman grabbed him and tried to run. She reportedly only ran several feet before she dropped the boy and escaped, according to Fox News. The boy was not harmed, and while police are still searching for the woman, they were able to get a description. The woman looked to be in her thirties or forties, wearing a red and gray jacket and having short black hair, according to ABC7 News.
Police are also currently asking for any more information regarding the incident.
