New Jersey police search for a semi-truck after a witness reports seeing a woman with a bloodied face

New Jersey police are searching for a white Volvo tractor-trailer cab with blue letters on the side, after a woman was reportedly seen covered in blood and screaming for help on Wednesday afternoon.

Detective Sergeant Timothy Hoover told NBC that a witness noticed a distressed woman trying to jump out of a truck. She was nearly out of the vehicle before being pulled back in by the driver. The woman was injured with "possibly some kind of laceration on her forehead or in the area of her face."

Law enforcement shared footage of a witness walking toward the truck before it sped off onto the road on Route 130 heading toward the Ridge Road exit.

The South Brunswick Police Department released an alert on Wednesday with descriptions of the victim and the driver. The victim is described as a white or Hispanic woman in her 20s with long brown hair and wearing a brown flannel shirt. The driver is said to be a bald, older white male with a white beard and a blue shirt.

Authorities consider the incident to be a possible “rolling domestic dispute.”

Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the South Brunswick Police Department at (732) 329-4646.
