Body Discovered in Reservoir Confirmed to be Missing Teen Kiely Rodni

The body discovered inside a submerged car has been confirmed to be the body of Kiely Rodni, the sixteen-year-old who went missing on August 6th. On Sunday, August 21st, authorities located a car submerged in a reservoir near Prosser Family Campground, close to where Rodni was last seen. An autopsy was performed, and the body was confirmed to be Rodni, according to CNN.

Kiely Rodni was last seen on August 6th during a party in Truckee, California. Authorities initially suspected an abduction until her car was located on Sunday near the area and search crews discovered Rodni’s body inside. While autopsy reports confirmed Rodni’s identity, information as to her cause of death and additional reports have yet to be released, according to USA Today.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of death as a possible traffic fatality. As of now, foul play has not been ruled out.
