Missing Florida Boy Found Dead in Alligator's Mouth
According to People, the search for the missing two-year-old Taylen Mosley has been called off by St. Petersburg police after he was found dead inside an alligator’s mouth. An Amber Alert was issued for the toddler on Wednesday, and the search involved the state, federal, and county authorities.
The search led police to Lake Maggiore, where they spotted an object in the alligator’s mouth. In a statement by the St. Petersburg Police Department, once they confirmed the object was Taylen Mosley, the alligator was killed in order to retrieve the body.
CNN reports Taylen went missing after his mother was found dead in their apartment. Per the statement, Police Chief Anthony Holloway announced that the toddler’s father, Thomas Mosley, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder for the death of Taylen's mother, Pashun Jeffery, and of his son. He is booked at Pinellas County Jail.
