Body of Missing N.Y. Girl Found in River
Samantha Humphrey, 14, was last seen on Nov. 25, 2022, at Riverside Park in the Stockade neighborhood of Schenectady, according to People. Not long after she was reported missing, the coat that she was believed to be wearing was discovered in the river with what appeared to be blood on the hood.
On Feb. 22, Humphrey’s body was found by local fishermen in the Mohawk River. WNYT reports the 14-year-old’s body was pulled from the Mohawk River last Wednesday afternoon. Family members were told, “The search for Samantha is over.”
The investigation to her death is ongoing and police are waiting for additional information in connection to the autopsy.
