Carlos Lugo: Missing Texas Teenage Boy Found Dead

Carlos Lugo, 14, was last seen on Jan. 21, 2023, after his mother, Rosa Lugo, dropped him off at a friend’s house. According to People, the teenager was reported missing on Jan. 23, 2023. 

ABC13 reports volunteers from Texas Equusearch found the 14-year-old’s body in a state of decomposition in a field near the friend’s home on Feb. 4, 2023. Lugos was found fatally shot and pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy was performed to confirm Lugo’s identity. 

According to the Houston Police Department, a homicide investigation into his death is ongoing. Authorities have yet to make any arrests or discuss a possible motive. 

Carlos Lugo was going to turn 15 in March. A GoFundMe has been created by his mother to help cover funeral expenses.
