Two Kidnapped Missouri Children Found A Year Later in Florida Supermarket

According to CBS News, two abducted children, 12 and 11, who had been missing from Missouri for almost a year were found in a central Florida Winn-Dixie Supermarket. They were found with their non-custodial mother, Kristi Nicole Gilley, 36, who was taken into police custody. 

The two children had been missing from Clay County, Missouri since March 15, 2022. Gilley was discovered in the supermarket after a routine vehicle tag check found that she was a fugitive, according to People. 

Gilley was detained and arrested on an active kidnapping warrant out of Clay County and still remains in police custody. According to CBS News, the children were turned over to the Florida Department of Families Services and are set to be reunited with their birth family.
