Louisiana Rapper JayDaYoungan Killed in Shooting
Louisiana rapper Javorius Tykies Scott, known professionally as JayDaYoungan, was shot and killed in his hometown of Bogalusa, Louisiana, early Wednesday evening. His father, Kenyatta Scott Sr. was also shot but is currently in stable condition.
Police were dispatched to the 600 block of Superior Avenue at 5:50 p.m. early Wednesday evening. According to a Facebook post made by the Bogalusa Police Department, one victim was transported to a nearby hospital in a privately owned vehicle. The other victim, was critically wounded and transported to Our Lady of Angels Hospital in Bogalusa by EMS.
At roughly 7:00 p.m., police were dispatched to another shooting in the 800 block of Marshall Road. No one was injured in that shooting, but police do believe it to be connected.
Police confirmed their identities in a separate Facebook post.
Scott was a Bogalusa native who is known for his singles “23 Island” “Elimination” and “Opps". He has over 1.2 million subscribers on YouTube and has been trending on Twitter since the news of his death broke.
