A student at the University of Mississippi has gone missing

Jimmie “Jay” Lee has been missing since Friday, July 8, at around 5:58 a.m. Lee was last seen leaving Campus Walk Apartments wearing a silver robe, a gold cap, and gray slippers.

Jay Lee was driving a 2014 black Ford Fusion with a gold stripe down the middle of the hood and front bumper. Three days after going missing, the Ford Fusion vehicle was found at the Molly Barr Trails apartment complex.

The police suspect that the 20-year-old college student may have been visiting someone at Molly Barr Trails.

Jay Lee’s neighbor, Lakiowa Milan, said, “Something like this is unusual to happen on campus. I’ve never heard anything like this happening around here.”

To find Lee, police are using track tips, speaking with potential witnesses and friends, conducting search warrants, and canvassing areas.

If anyone has any information about the disappearance of Jimmie “Jay” Lee, contact the Oxford Police Department at 662-232-2400, Crime Stoppers at 662-234-8477, or the University of Mississippi Police Department at 662-915-7234.
