A teenager with special needs who requires medication has been missing for 14 days

Kaylee Jones, a 16-year-old teenager, has been missing since June 14, 2022. She was last seen near Carrollton’s Whooping Creek Church Road. Jones is diagnosed with autism and requires special medication and medical care. Her parents, Daniel and Brenda Jones, fear that their daughter may have been lured away and has become a human trafficking victim.

Jones’ parents last saw Kaylee at their Carrollton, Georgia, home. The parents wished their daughter a good night’s sleep and went to bed. The next morning, when the parents woke up, they noticed that Kaylee Jones was no longer in the home.

Brenda Jones believes her daughter was being groomed by someone she met online and worries that she has now become a sex trafficking victim.

On June 20, the Carrollton County Sheriff's Office issued a press release on their Facebook page informing the public that Kaylee Jones was still missing and that they would continue to search for her until she returned home safely to her family.

According to WJCL, police have spoken to those who were last in contact with Kaylee Jones through records of her electronic devices. Unfortunately, nothing has helped the investigation move forward, nor helped the police determine the reason behind Jones’ disappearance.

Kaylee Jones is described by detectives as someone with brown hair and brown eyes, who is 5’8 and weighs 135 lbs.

The teen’s mother believes that her daughter may be carrying a dark blue book bag with a horse in the front. The words “Mazi” or “Kaylee” may be written somewhere on the book bag. Brenda Jones doesn’t know what clothes her daughter was wearing when she went missing, but she thinks her daughter could have been wearing black tennis shoes or converse.

Daniel and Brenda Jones remain worried about their “very loving, very kind, and overly sensitive” daughter. When the parents were asked if they had a message for whomever may be with their daughter, Daniel Jones replied, “Bring her home, so we can get her the help she needs, and she can hopefully live out the rest of her life.”

The police encourage anyone who knows anything about the disappearance of Kaylee Jones or anyone who has had a sighting of the teen to contact Investigator Kim Biggs at 770-830-5916 or email him at kbiggs@carrollsheriff.com.
