Former NBA Player Dies in Fatal Shooting

Adreian Payne, 31, was shot and killed in Orlando, FL on Monday morning.

The gunman, identified as Lawrence Dority, stayed on the scene. He was arrested for the shooting on a first-degree murder warrant and is currently in the Orange County Jail, ESPN reports.

Payne, a star player during his time at Michigan State, was drafted to the NBA in 2014. He spent four years in the league, playing for the Atlanta Hawks, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Orlando Magic.

The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
