California Doctor Caught Attempting to Poison Her Husband on Nanny-Cam
An Irvine, California dermatologist was arrested last week for allegedly poisoning her husband over the past ten years with Drano, causing numerous internal health problems. According to the Irvine Police Department, her husband has video evidence of Yue Yu (45) pouring the liquid into his drinks on three different occasions in July.
Dr. Jack Chen (53) started becoming ill at the beginning of this year, finding unusual symptoms in March and April. According to CBS, he experienced a chemical taste in his mouth, stomach ulcers, gastritis, and inflammation of the esophagus, all of which were confirmed by tests run by his doctor. At this time, he began to become suspicious that his wife could have had a hand in creating these symptoms, so he set up cameras to record their kitchen.
Since the discoveries on film, Chen has also come out against his wife and stated she has long been verbally, physically, and emotionally abusing him and their children. According to ABC, if the kids ever showed him affection, she would lock them in their rooms and scream at them until they would no longer speak of loving their father. Reportedly, Yu’s mother, Yuojng Gu, was also abusive to the family.
Since her arrest, Yu made bail and was released on August 5th. With her release, Chen filed for a Domestic Violence restraining order and is pursuing a divorce. Yu’s defense attorneys state that Chen came up with the poisoning and abuse allegations to win more advantage in divorce hearings and the coming custody case.
