Body of Natally Brookson’s Boyfriend Found in Lake Michigan

The body of Daniel Sotelo (26), boyfriend to Natally Brookson who was found dead earlier this month, was found dead as well in the same Lake Michigan area that Brookson was. The couple was reported missing on April 30 after being last seen in different Chicago locations.

Brookson (22) was found in the lake on May 2, and with no sign of Sotelo’s body family and friends hoped that he could still be alive. According to ABC 7, Sotelo’s body was found in the water on May 22, with dental records identifying his body on Sunday, May 29.

The couple both attended the University of Illinois. According to Yahoo! News, Sotelo was approaching graduation with a master’s degree in Organic Chemistry, telling family and friends about his plans to work at an organic farm in Naperville. Brookson was working on achieving a degree in psychology as well.

Their causes of death have yet to be determined, but a toxicology report has been worked on by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
