Woman Shoots 13yo Who was Breaking into Her Car

Fox News reports that a woman with a concealed carry permit shot a 13 year-old boy after he and a group of other teenage boys attempted to break into her car on Tuesday (8/2).

The boy, Dion Young was part of a group of four to five males. The woman, estimated to be in her 30s, had parked the car in Woodlawn, on the South Side of Chicago. According to police, when the woman confronted the boys, one of them pulled out a gun.

The woman responded by pulling out her own gun and firing. Dion Young was hit in the neck. He was transported to Comer Children’s Hospital and died Tuesday afternoon.

The other males fled the scene, and no weapons have been recovered.
