Hit and Run Turns into Fatal Stabbing

CBS News reports that a 35-year-old man was stabbed to death in LA, California, on Tuesday (5/31/22) around 1:30pm. The suspect had been involved in a hit-and-run, where he hit a 15-year-old girl and 16-year-old boy, before crashing into a parked car and fleeing on foot. The stabbing victim, a family member of the hit-and-run victims, chased after the suspect and tried to detain him in Baldwin Park. The suspect turned and stabbed him in the upper torso. The man was transported to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead. The suspect continued to flee on foot, but was arrested by El Monte Police officers only a couple blocks away.
