Woman Attempted to Kill Lookalike by Poisoning Cheesecake to Steal Her Identity

According to People, Viktroia Nasyrova, a Brooklyn woman, allegedly tried to murder her lookalike friend by giving her cheesecake that was laced with a deadly poison so she could steal her identity. Nasyrova is now withstanding trial in New York City.

BuzzFeed News claims that according to prosecutors, Nasyrova attempted to murder and steal her friend's identity so she could avoid a criminal investigation in her home country of Russia.

Nasyrova was desperate to never return to Russia and Olga Tsvyk, the victim, was a perfect target because she was a good look alike and Tsvyk had no family in the U.S.
