Three inmates at the Sullivan County Jail in Tennessee pulled off a daring escape on Friday morning. NBC News confirmed that Tobias Wayne Carr, 38; Timothy Allen Sarver, 45; and Johnny Shane Brown, 45, managed to access the air vent system on the ceiling of their cell and escape through the vent on the jail’s roof.

The two men had committed an armed robbery at a convenience store in Wilmington, NC and then led authorities on a “multi-jurisdictional pursuit” before their vehicle crashed, killing them both instantly.

The whereabouts of Johnny Brown are unknown. The case is being pursued by the U.S. Marshals Service and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
