Unsolved Case In Peoria

On April 29, 2016, a 26-year-old man was found along the banks of the Peoria River in Peoria, IL. Justin Marx was found at 12:45 P.M. with multiple stab wounds to his chest. The coroner had determined that the cause of death was the stab wounds found on his body and strangulation had helped attribute to his death. The detective assigned to the case Matt Legaspi said that Justin was found 20 feet down a steep incline and positioned as if he was trying to crawl back up the incline.

Justin is known for his loyalty to friends and family, his hobbies included drawing and being with friends and family. A friend who knew Justin for a short period said, “Justin was someone who would make you feel better if you had a bad day. If you needed someone to talk to he would stop what he was doing and talk to you. He was the type of person who made a good imprint on your life and also a person that you could not forget once you met him.”
