Suspects Sought in Anti-Semitic Attacks in Brooklyn

Police are searching for suspects in at least two separate attacks that took place in Brooklyn this past weekend.

Surveillance video from Friday shows someone approaching a 24-year-old man dressed in traditional Hasidic clothing and punching him in the back of the head. The incident occurred at the intersection of Stockton Street and Marcy Avenue in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood at around 10:30 p.m.

According to ABC7, police have stated that minutes before that attack, another man dressed in traditional Hasidic clothing was punched in the face just around the corner from the Stockton Street attack. The NYPD has not specified if these two attacks were committed by the same person despite the close proximity in distance and timing.

The Anti-Defamation League is offering a $7,500 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for these attacks. The NYPD Hate Crimes Unit is continuing to investigate.
