Five Dead in Texas Family Murder-Suicide

Five people including a child, have died in a quadruple murder-suicide around in and around Corsicana, Texas on February 4th. The suspect, 41 year-old Kevin Milazzo was found dead in his car from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Just after midnight on February 5, the Corsicana Police Department received a 911 call claiming a man who was known to his victims had killed his family members. Upon their arrival, police discovered 61-year-old Connie Mimms and 68-year-old William Mimms dead in their home in the 2900 Block of W. 2nd Avenue.

Connie and William were later identified as Milazzo’s mother and step-father. Two other victims were found in their home, but survived.

Milazzo then allegedly went to nearby Frost, Texas, the Navarro County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call at the intersection of Garrity and Stroud Streets. Deputies at the scene discovered Milazzo’s son, 21-year-old Joshua Milazzo, as well as 4-year-old Hunter Freeman, the son of a former girlfriend. A woman was also shot at the second scene, but was taken to Dallas to receive medical attention according to WFAA.

Detectives managed to track and locate Kevin Milazzo’s car based on the navigation system. Police were able to stop his engine remotely through the navigation system. As police officers approached his car, they found him critically injured from a self-inflicted gunshot wound according to People.

Milazzo was transported to Navarro Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short while after arrival.

The Community Chapel Church in Corsicana where Connie was an active member has set up a GoFundMe to help the family with the cost of four funerals.
