Suspect Charged After NYC Subway Attack

William Blout, 57, was apprehended last week after a brutal attack on New York Health Department scientist, Nina Rothschild, 57.

Surveillance footage shows Blout kicking Rothschild down the stairs and repeatedly striking her with a hammer in Queens Plaza station of Long Island, New York. Afterwards, he robbed her.

According to People, Rothschild suffered facial lacerations, brain bleeding, and a fractured skull.

Blout was charged with attempted murder, robbery and assault. According to police in a report by CNN, he has a violent criminal history of kidnapping, robbery and drug-related charges.
