Polish Woman Who Claimed To Be Madeleine McCann Is Not Missing Toddler According to DNA Test
Julia Wendell, 21, a polish woman who made headlines earlier this year after claiming she was Madeleine McCann, the missing three year old who disappeared on a family vacation in 2007, has received the DNA test results that state that she is not the missing girl and is in fact 100 percent polish with Lithuanian and Russian heritage, according to People.
Dr. Fia Johnson, a private investigator who has been assisting Wendell claims that “This story is much more complicated than a simple girl from a small town in Poland making a claim to get attention. She truly believed what she was saying, and with so many questions about her childhood it is easy to understand where she was coming from,” per Daily Mail.
McCann disappeared at the age of three in 2007, which would make her around the age of 19, two years younger than Wendell, a fact that many people found skeptical.
Wendell claims that she cannot remember a large part of her childhood and isn’t sure that she’s 21 since she’s never seen her birth certificate, though her parents have refuted the claim.
Though McCann’s disappearance occurred 16 years ago, the search still continues and is one that the internet has not forgotten.
