Louisiana Couple Dead in Apparent Murder-Suicide

Fox 8 reports Angel Smith and Rico Keller, both 31, were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide. According to a statement by the St. Tammany Sheriff's Office, the couple was found by their son on Saturday morning at their Slidell-area home. 

Authorities responded to the scene around 9:30 a.m. after the child called 911. According to People, the child told the dispatcher he "found his parents unresponsive and bleeding.” When deputies arrived at the scene, they found the bodies in a bedroom with a gun nearby. STPCO reports Smith died of multiple gunshot wounds and Keller shot himself. Also at home were two of the estranged couple’s children. 

Both children have been placed in the care of the Louisiana Department of Children & Family Services. The incident is still under investigation and no additional information has been released.
