Fiery Car Crash in Los Angeles Kills Six People Including a Pregnant Woman and a Baby

Around 1:30 p.m. Thursday a multiple-car crash happened in Windsor Hills, a neighborhood 10 miles southwest of downtown Los Angeles, claiming the lives of six people. Among them, a pregnant woman and a baby. 

According to CBS, a woman in a Mercedes-Benz ran a red light in a crowded intersection, going at least 50 mph. The car struck at least two cars that exploded into flames. The driver, Nicole Linton, has been arrested and will be facing vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence

The death toll was originally five, but had risen after the California Highway Patrol discovered another body in one of the cars that was engulfed in flames. 

The pregnant woman was identified as 23-year-old Asherey Ryan alongside her unborn baby boy. The other five victims consisted of four adults and one baby who passed away after being ejected from the vehicle during the crash.

The seven surviving victims have been sent to the hospital with minor injuries. Among them is a 33-year-old woman and six children ranging from 13 months to 15 years old. Linton has sustained some major injuries and is currently in the hospital as well.
