Mass Shooting in Half Moon Bay, California, Left Seven People Killed
According to People, police arrested 67-year-old Zhao Chunli for the deaths of seven farm workers killed in Half Moon Bay, Calif., on Monday, Jan. 23, 2023.
The mass shooting spanned two separate locations, on Monday afternoon, according to NBC Bay Area. In one location, four people were found dead around 2:22 p.m. at a nursery near the 12700 block of San Mateo Road. Three more victims were found near another nursery along the Cabrillo Highway.
Zhao was found sitting in his car in the sheriff’s office substation roughly two hours after the deadly shooting, according to People. A semi-automatic handgun was found in his car, and he was arrested without incident.
This is the second mass shooting within a week in California.
