15-Year-Old Boy Killed and Five Women Wounded in Milwaukee Shooting

Fox 6 News reports that 15-year-old Davion Patterson was shot and killed Monday night in Milwaukee, WI. The shooting left five women injured all between ages 18 and 22 and was taken to a hospital for “non-fatal injuries,” according to a press release by the Milwaukee Police Department. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The shooting occurred near 14th and Concordia before 11:30 p.m. According to WTMJ-TV, police are still investigating the shooting but believe an argument sparked the gunfire. Investigators have arrested a 15-year-old suspect in connection with the fatal shooting. 

Several neighbors told Fox 6 News that it is not uncommon to hear gunfire and they are sick of feeling unsafe in their community and of young people dying. The victim’s sister said her brother was attempting to mediate the fight when he was shot. Davion Patterson was described by loved ones as a “smart” and “good” kid. His family has started a GoFundMe to help with funeral costs.
