Man Convicted for the Murder and Kidnapping of Co-worker Nine Years Later
This past Friday a Monroe County jury in Pennsylvania convicted Michael Horvath for the murder and kidnapping of his coworker, Holly Grim, back in 2013. Horvath has been charged with criminal homicide, kidnapping, evidence-tampering, and abuse of a corpse.
Horvath and Grim both worked at a church organ manufacturing company prior to Grim’s death. Horvath was reportedly stalking Grim before kidnapping her from her home on November 22, 2013. The man later killed and buried the 41-year-old woman in his backyard.
It wasn’t until 2016 when investigators discovered some of Grim’s bones on Horvath’s property. This alongside the blood found in the doorway at Grim’s house which belonged to Horvath gave police enough evidence to consider the Pennsylvania man a prime suspect in this case.
Horvath’s sentencing hearing is set for September 8th.
