Man Charged With Murder in St. Louis Following Triple Shooting

Prosecutors have charged 24-year-old Eric Wooten on Monday in a triple shooting in St. Louis. One man has died and two others are critically injured.

The shooting occurred at the 6200 block of North Broadway Sunday night just before 10:00 p.m. Wooten allegedly shot and killed 19-year-old Kevin Payne who was found lying in the street by an EMS crew and declared dead on the scene.

Two other victims, a man in his thirties and a teenager, were found in a car and were taken to the hospital. The older man is in critical condition, while the teen is in stable condition.

Wooten is being held on no bond and has been charged with first-degree murder, two counts of first-degree assault and three counts of armed criminal action according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
