Eight-Year-Old Boy Killed In Drive-By Shooting
Jermarrion Cherry, 8, of Walter Robins Georgia, was shot last Friday evening at a home on Virginia Dare Drive in Warner Robins, Georgia. Jermarrion died early Monday morning.
At about 9 p.m. on Friday evening, an unidentified person shot nearly a dozen times into Cherry’s home. According to 13 WMAZ, several small children were waiting in a Hyundai Accent to leave the house with an adult. The adult had stepped away for the car for just a moment before shots rang out.
Jermarrion was rushed to Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital in Atlanta for treatment where he passed at about 2:30 Monday morning.
Police Captain Jon Holland stated: "We're not going to stop looking for them. We will find them, and hopefully we will have closure for this family.”
No information regarding a suspect has been released. Officials are unsure whether the shooting is targeted, or to what residence and vehicle the suspect was attempting to aim for.
