Dallas Man Dies From the Same Bullet He Used to Shoot Woman

Police in Dallas, Texas, are investigating the death of Byron Redmon, a man who shot a woman and then was killed by shrapnel from the same bullet Saturday.

At 11:40 on Saturday morning, Dallas police were dispatched to the 2200 block of Medical District. When they arrived, they discovered a large amount of blood and a blood trail in front of an apartment, according to a tweet posted by the Dallas Police Department.

Around the same time, a man and woman were found with gunshot wounds in a car nearby a hospital. Police identified the man as 26-year-old Byron Redmon.

Based on the preliminary investigation, police believe Redmon shot the woman in the neck during a domestic dispute. The same bullet then exited her neck and struck him in the leg.

Both Redmon and the unidentified woman were transported to local hospitals. Redmon died at the hospital. According to WFAA, the woman was treated and released in the same day.
