California Mom Finds Daughter’s Body At Ex’s House After Getting A Bad Feeling

Aaron Romo, 36, has been arrested without bond for the murder of his 24 year old ex girlfriend, Mirelle Mateus. USA Today claims that detectives from the Anaheim Police Department determined that Mateus was murdered, but they haven’t stated how they believe she was killed.

Mateus’ mother, Alice Mateus, had a feeling that something bad had happened to her daughter and went to Romo’s home, where she says she made the horrifying discovery after opening the unlocked front door, per People.

Investigators believe Romo has assaulted other women in the past. In December, he was charged with two felonies–corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant and false imprisonment, as well as misdemeanor counts of resisting arrest and battery.

Romo is being held at the Anaheim Police Department Detention Facility without bail.
