Wisconsin Man Found Guilty of Stalking and Killing Ex-Girlfriend’s Boyfriend

Zachariah Anderson was accused of stalking his ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend, Rosalio Gutierrez Jr.and has been found guilty of his murder. Anderson has been convicted of intentional murder, hiding a corpse, and stalking his ex-girlfriend, Sadie Beacham, and her boyfriend, according to People. 

During the trial, prosecutors presented DNA evidence and proof that Anderson had been following Gutierrez. He is accused of placing a burner phone in Beacham’s car to follow her location and using a GPS tracker and recording device to stalk her and Gutierrez. During the trial, Kenosha County District Attorney Michael Graveley alleged that Anderson was a jealous ex-boyfriend who was mad that Beacham broke up with him. Law and Crime reports that Anderson remained stoic and emotionless during the proceedings. 

According to TMJ4, Sadie Beacham ended her relationship with Anderson in February 2020 before she started talking to Gutierrez. The victim was officially reported missing on May 19, 2020, after police did a welfare check at his apartment and found “large amounts of blood” in his home. Sadie Beacham informed authorities that Anderson had been stalking them. 

The same day that Gutierrez went missing, authorities found a burn pit in Anderson’s home along with torn clothes and a burned bleach bottle. The victim’s blood was found in Anderson’s van, along with a piece of carpet that smelled like bleach. Another burn pit and additional clothes were found at Anderson’s family tree farm. Rosalio Gutierrez Jr.’s body had still not been found.

Zachariah Anderson will be sentenced on May 16, 2023.
