Arrest Made For N.J. Grandmother Fatally Shot On Her Birthday

Two brothers, Jonathan Ritchie, 21, and his brother, Josiah Ritchie 19, have been arrested on charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder and other weapon-related offenses for the murder of 63-year-old Debra Derrick on March 11, 2021.

Derrick was on her porch celebrating her birthday and releasing balloons in honor of her late twin sister, who had died seven days earlier.

According to a report made by People, police stated that Derrick was not the intended target for the shooting.

The brothers are currently in custody.
