17-Year-Old Fatally Shot in Columbus, GA

17-year-old Markayla Marshall was shot and killed on March 31, by 16-year-old, Ceonna Turpin, at a park in Columbus, Georgia.

The shooting occurred when the two girls allegedly met up to fight. Marshall pepper sprayed Turpin, who then pulled out a pistol and began to shoot, according to The Ledger Enquirer.

Marshall died in the hospital from two gunshot wounds. Two others, including Marshall’s sister, were wounded following the shooting.

Turpin turned herself in and is facing one count of murder, along with two counts of aggravated assault.
