A$AP Rocky Arrested in Connection With 2021 Shooting

Rapper Rakim Mayers, 33, publicly known as A$AP Rocky, was arrested yesterday at Los Angeles International Airport in connection with a November 2021 shooting in Hollywood.

Mayers arrest came soon after he and his pregnant girlfriend, singer, and businesswoman Rihanna arrived at LAX via private jet after visiting her home county of Barbados.

According to NBC News, Rihanna was with Mayers when he was arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon. A search warrant was issued for his residence in Los Angeles.

Mayers is the suspect in a November 6, 2021 shooting near Vista Del Mar and Selma Avenue around 10:15 p.m., during an argument between two acquaintances.

The surviving witness claims Mayers shot at him three to four times, grazing the witness’ hand. The victim stated he sought treatment for this minor injury. Mayers and two other males fled the scene according to People.

He was booked into jail at 12:42 p.m. and his bail was set at $550,000. He was released three hours after posting bond.
