15-Year-Old Boy Dies After Being Shot 24 Times While Walking to Gas Station

15-year-old Sincere Cole was walking to the gas station around the corner from his house in Chicago on Saturday to buy snacks where he was shot 24 times.

His aunt and guardian, Brandy Martin, spoke to the public on Wednesday, pleading for help from the public: “Someone seen something. Please speak out. Don’t wait for it to happen to you, and you have to stand in front of these cameras and ask for the same help you refuse to give” Martin told reporters from WGN9 News.

This is not the first family tragedy that Martin has experienced. Martin’s sister and the mother of Sincere Cole, Felon Smith, died in 2019 after being hit by a Chicago Transit Authority train. Just days after that, Martin’s 22-year-old daughter Akeelah Addison was shot and killed.

The murders of Akeelah Addison and Sincere Cole remain unsolved.
