New York Woman Shot in the Eye Through Her Apt. Peephole

A New York woman was shot in the eye through her apartment peephole.According to New York Daily News, a woman looked through her peephole to see who was at her door and was shot in the eye. The victim was responding to a knock on the door at 7:40 p.m. on Monday night. A neighbor heard the shot and then the screams of the woman.CBS reports that the 37-year-old woman was taken to St. Luke's Hospital by EMS transport. Police found one shell casing at the scene. Investigators are searching for any video evidence of the suspect. Although, the suspect's motives remain unclear.No arrests have currently been made.
